Industrial Butterfly Valve Types and Their Main Applications

  Butterfly valves are widely used in industrial systems where controlling or stopping the movement of liquids, gases, or other media is necessary. Their relatively simple construction and quarter-turn operation make them suitable for many flow-control applications. They are commonly found in water treatment, chemical processing, HVAC systems, pipelines, and other industrial environments. A butterfly valve generally consists of a circular disc positioned inside the flow path. When the valve is operated, the disc rotates around a central or offset shaft.
